INVESTMENT INITIATIVES
AGRICULTURE & AQUACULTURE
Slovenia offers investment opportunities in sustainable aquaculture, supported by EU funding through the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) and national co-financing schemes. Slovenian companies such as G2O and Silurus have invested in greenfield recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), demonstrating the potential for innovative, resource-efficient fish farming. These investments offer opportunities for foreign investors to establish partnerships, develop sustainable production and access European markets.
TOURISM & REAL ESTATE
Slovenia offers attractive investment opportunities in tourism and real estate, supported by EU funds and national incentives for sustainable tourism and infrastructure development. A Tunisian company has established Oasis Tours in Slovenia as a succesful greenfield investment, creating a direct business presence in the Slovenian tourism sector. This demonstrates the potential for successful cross-border investment and cooperation.
PRACTICAL CASE
TThe panel will present the case of Maghreb Papier, a Tunisian SME company we supported in establishing a branch in Slovenia. We will also highlight major greenfield investment projects by international companies, including Japan’s Yaskawa, Turkey’s Yıldız Entegre, and Austria’s Magna. These cases illustrate Slovenia’s efforts to attract foreign investors and support investment projects that create jobs, introduce new technologies and strengthen the economy.
